![]() ![]() ![]() I always thought the sound on the 17 were kind of meh, and the 27 are a little better with more shaping options, but also kind of meh, especially when coupled with the price tag. So I do understand where you are coming from. If you just want to plug it in and forget about it, without having to bother with much, get ed3.ītw I had your module, and now have the the td-27. If the thought of spending however long it takes (for you) to fine tune every aspect of your sound and getting really personal with the mixer tab, is what makes you smile, then get sd3. It really kind of depends on your personality in a way. But the core program is still pretty good. The problem I had with the ez line is that the expansions that I did get for it didn’t have all of the articulations with the hi hats and was pretty much unusable for me. It doesn’t have as many articulations so you don’t get positional sensing, but what you do get is really good. However, there is no sound shaping options with it for the most part. If that’s what you want then it’s pretty great. You can also really fine tune the hi hat.ĮD3 at its core is a great program with great sounds as well that are even mix ready. The biggest downside to sd3 outside of cost is the simple fact of how many options you have and it can be overwhelming at first. Also, if you ever decide to upgrade to a module with positional sensing sd3 has support for this with the samples to match. the core library is pretty good for just about all kinds of music and the samples are unprocessed so you can shape them however you would like. ![]() The sounds are simply amazing and there are lots of articulations on the ones that need them i.e. ![]()
